Hi, I'm Ishy.
Being a behavioural science graduate, I have always been fascinated by the bridge between mind, body and consciousness. I often think about how our nature and experiences quietly shape us and how, in turn, we shape the world without realising it.
From a young age, I don't remember a time when I wasn't curious about something. I find a particular joy in the pursuit of "the why" and "the how", whether I’m trying to understand the workings of the human mind or thinking about the bigger patterns in how society behaves. This curiosity is what draws me to social neuroscience and developmental psychology. I have always found a meaningful inspiration in working with children because in them I see the earliest drafts of who we might become - raw, unfiltered and full of possibility.
My thoughts often drift toward the intersection of psychology and philosophy, sometimes toward the vastness of the universe, and other times toward the anatomy of a single, fleeting moment. I try to make art often in whatever form piques my interest as a way to process these observations. To me, learning is a continuous journey, and I also feel storytelling is the most meaningful tool for change.
When I am not researching or writing, I am usually seeking balance through the fast pace of a tennis/badminton court or the stillness of yoga and meditation. I often find fragments of myself in music, in passing moments, and in the art I curate and from time to time, I share those reflections through my newsletters.
