new thoughts every oftentimes
for the kindred, by me
I used to believe that deep reflection belonged exclusively to quiet winter nights, that stillness only arrived when the world turned cold, and the leaves fell. But I’ve come to realise that growth doesn’t wait for the seasons to shift. It happens in the “every often” moments; when you’re washing dishes, walking home, or just sitting with your thoughts in the morning and suddenly something clicks.
This space is an intentional pause. I like to think of these entries as small punctuation marks in a long, breathless stretch of living. Just as a comma forces you to slow down, or a period lets you finally exhale, these moments of quiet reflection help me find rhythm and meaning in a busy life. They give me room to question what I value, what I believe, and whether the way I’m moving through the world actually aligns with what matters to me.
Within these think pieces, I’m inviting you into my personal pondering on the world around us. For me, contemplation isn’t indulgent; it’s necessary. It’s what keeps awe alive. Whether I’m exploring the resiliency of the human spirit, diving into my volunteer work, or using storytelling as advocacy for underserved communities, it all finds a home here.
By taking the time to reflect on these experiences, I hope to gain a deeper understanding of our shared world, and perhaps help you find a bit of comfort in the stillness, too.
Until the next thought strikes. Every often, anyway.
